[this is good]

I love your recaps. They're so thorough and fun. :)

Totally agree with you on a lot of stuff, especially the Meredith thing. I really wanted Mer and Der to work, but I find myself getting sick of Mer a lot lately. I dig her and I get her whole damaged thing.. 'cause I can relate to a lot of it.. but that scene where McDreamy told her, "You're the love of my life," and she basically blew him off really pissed me off. I'm just tired of watching Derek get disregarded by her. Maybe next season, she'll realize what she had and things will be fixed and repaired between them by the end of next season.

I just think for all the trouble they've gone to for each other, she oughta be a little more.. I don't know.. interested in him. For all that "hold a boom box over my head" love she had for him, y'know. LOL.

And I totally second the note on Sandra Oh. That chick is one hell of an actress. I'm constantly awed by her. The scene with the breakdown in her and Burke's apartment was incredible.

Also, I read on a gossip blog that Isaiah Washington isn't returning to Grey's next season. "Insiders" from ABC have supposedly let it leak to outside sources that he was fired, but I read something else that the negotations to have him back next season simply haven't been completed. We'll see. I love Burke, so I'm hoping they don't axe him.

If Burke is leaving, then I'll keep on watching Grey's. I absolutely love the show (even though it's so often heartbreaking), but as the mother of a gay son, I was outraged that Burke wasn't written off earlier in the year after the infamous "comment". If the roles were reversed, and T.R. Knight has used the forbidden "N" word about Washington, George would have ended up being one of the ferry casualties. If Burke is staying, then I'll find something else to watch (even though I'll miss the other characters).

I agree that Sandra Oh is an amazing actor. I've been so hoping that Christina would finally see or admit to herself that Burke was just trying to tear her apart and use what was left to build the woman he wanted. Before Burke she was always so strong and sassy, she made me proud (I guess that means she brought out the mom in me).

The show works because the characters are flawed and human (and in some cases broken children trying to be functioning adullts, and not knowing how) and hopeful; a very potent mixture, and I absolutely love it. But, even the wonderfully inspired writing, the gifted directing, and the amazing group of talented actors that make up Grey's Anatomy won't stop me from boycotting the show if George leaves and Burke stays. I'll miss it, but I'll survive.

A suggestion, more Alex. Not only is he eye-candy, but he's a hypnotically complicated character who only thinks other's can't see the hurt and fear of being hurt more that he carries around with him everywhere. I like this Alex far more than the guy he was in the beginning.
