So... I start my culinary class tonight. I am VERY excited, nervous... but excited. I am always nervous about changes... to the point that I usually get a little sick throughout the day, it sucks, but... i'll get over it the minute that I walk into that kitchen, i HOPE. ha. Anyways, so my mom and grandmother asked me to come over to my grandma's house for just a minute last night because they had something for me, but wouldn't tell me what it was.
Well, I honestly expected it to be something for me starting class like a knife i was missing out of my set or something like that... but NOPE!!!
SO, here's to the 1st day of a new me... the culinary arts queen... the Princess of cuisine!! haha.... okay not yet, but don't be surprised if one day you see me ranked up there
with Martha Stewart... okay maybe not Martha, cause I'm not that crafty, but ... what about Julia Child. I think she is amazing and I'm way hotter than she is... haha. Rachel Ray is great, but honestly I get tired of her really fast, but I think it's just the accent that does me over. I mean, I'm from Texas... my accent is way cuter. haha.so I failed to mention the last few days that my sister, jessica, came home from Army Reserves boot camp/ training. I've been too busy to upload the photos of our night out after she came home. I'll do that soon. but to say the least I was really happy that she came home. She'll be leaving soon for a weekend of "duty" soon, but I'm not too worried about that. She's also sometime this summer has to do her "time" 2 weeks of "in service" which I am just praying to GOD that she DOESN'T have to go to Iraq. I would HATE that and would cry often about it if she did. I also officially registered for my 1st culinary arts class which starts at the end of the month. I'm totally excited about the entire situation. I bought all my supplies. Knives, Uniform, Book, ECT. ECT.ECT. everything was so freakin expensive, but I know in my heart it will be worth it.
Brian and I have pretty much decided that we're moving to college station in July, most probably. Details are still working themselves out, but we hope that everything falls into place and we'll be settled by the fall so that he can start grad school at A&M university. And I'll have a good job there that will allow me good pay ... and also the opportunity to go back to night school. None of the schools there have Culinary programs, BUT ... I still have a LOT of basics I need to get done, so I can focus on those for the time we're there, which will probably be about 18months-2 years. Then, wherever we go after that, I'll probably try and get back into a culinary program... but that's sometime from now ... plenty of time to think. I'm really excited about the move, scared, but excited. When we move after about a month of being 'settled' we're going to get a boxer puppy. (depending on finances- of course).... but that's the plan! I cant wait!!! BUT, yea... so that's a little update on me. I'll have pictures of my sister's coming home party... ASAP.
Who taught you how to cook?
